Wedding Coordinator. Yes or No?

August 3, 2009

About one of every three couples that I meet with ask me if I would suggest that they have a wedding coordinator for their wedding.  To answer the question as simply as possible, “Yes.”  Wedding Coordinators, whether they are hired to plan the wedding with you or whether you just have them there for the day of the event, are well worth the money that you will spend on their services.

Wedding Coordinators can help you avoid the pitfalls of not knowing vendors in your area, they can negotiate the best prices, they can give you choices you never thought possible, and they can help you make your vision for your wedding a reality.  I have officiated at too many weddings that had no one to line up the wedding party, pin on the boutiners, or make sure everything ran smoothly.  Wedding Coordinators make the hectic nature of weddings flow absolutely seamless.

Rev. Ferguson, thank you for helping shed some light to the importance of a coordinator.

Absolutely! You couldn’t have explained it better Rev. Ferguson. A wedding coordinator makes everything flow smoothly and allows the bride & groom to relax and enjoy their day!

I completely agree with you Rev. Ferguson!!!! If I had to go back and re-do our planning it would have been 100 times easier with a wedding planner especially when you cannot perdict the weather or the beach tides on the morning of your big day. Great memories though. Thanks for being so understanding and laid back with the rolled up pants. I loved it. I’ll be sending you pictures soon.

The Rev was the first vendor I spoke with during our engagement. (I found him at The Knot.) I was on the fence about wedding coordinators and, not knowing whether or not I would ask him to perform the wedding, Reverend Glynn shared this precious advice with me. Hiring the wonderful Tamuel Cowart at rwevents.com was the second best thing we did while planning our wedding. The first was finding the Rev.
